Demolition Day!  The Denis took a major step forward the week of November 28th, 2011 as employees of Hadad Services of McKeesport began demolition of portions of the interior of the Denis Theatre building at 685 Washington Rd.  This is the first step of many related to the renovation of the Denis into community cultural center that will feature independent cinema and arts programming. The work on the building is part of Phase I of a Capital Campaign to open the first of three planned screens in early 2013.  Phase II will follow, and will include two additional screens, meeting and classroom space, a café and other amenities.
